How to Add Friends on Halo Infinite Xbox

Xbox has been THE platform to play Halo ever since the game launched. It only recently became available for PC users as well. Naturally, this feature will work seamlessly if you’re playing on Xbox and trying to invite your friends who also play on Xbox.

Here’s what you have to do:

  • Add your friend to your Xbox Friends List
  • Open your social menu (Social Button)
  • Invite them to play together by selecting their name and pressing “Invite”. You can also join their party by pressing “Join.”

The social menu shows features like your current party or players you’ve recently played with. If you’ve played with someone and had a good time together, don’t hesitate to add them to your friend list after the match.

How to Add Friends on Halo Infinite PC

If you’re on PC, simply open the Social Menu by pressing “Tab”£ and then go to “Find Friends”. There you can invite anyone on your list that plays the game. To invite someone you don’t have on your list, you’re going to have to add them by entering their Gamertag. You can also invite people to play from the Steam Friends app.

How to Add Friends on Halo Infinite – Cross-Platform

Halo Infinite is the first game in the franchise to allow cross-platform. This means you can now play with your friends on the PC. Since everything is integrated with Xbox Live, this process is also relatively easy.

Here’s how to add friends that are on a different platform:

  • Bring up the Xbox Live Menu by pressing the Xbox Button
  • Navigate to “Find Someone” in the friend list
  • Search for the Steam name of your friend and add them to your friend list

After they accept your invitation, you will become friends and will be able to play together.

Also, if you want to add someone you recently played with but are on PC, the process is the same. In the “Recent” tab of the social menu, navigate to the person you want to add, open their “Gamercard,” and add them as your friend. You can recognize players from the Recent tab by their emblem before their name.

Future Discord Support

There is planned Discord integration with Halo Infinite that will allow you to add friends straight from the app. However, at the time of writing this article, Discord integration is not available, even though the option is present in the menu.

Here’s an important thing you can (and should) do when playing with friends. Show off! There are quite a few things for you to stand out in Halo Infinite, and these are only a couple of them:
