Almost all competitive multiplayer games have a rating system. These systems are used to separate players of different levels. The system in Dota 2 is based on your MMR score. In this guide, we’ll run you through how to check MMR in Dota 2, which essentially determines your level.

The ranking system of Dota 2 in 2022 is quite simple. Your MMR score will increase after every ranked match you win. Conversely, it decreases after every match you lose. Your total score determines your level. We’ll talk about these levels in detail in a moment, but first, let’s look at how you can find out your MMR.

How to Check Your MMR in Dota 2

You don’t have to spend a lot of time to find out your MMR score in Dota 2. Your score isn’t displayed on the main screen, but you can easily get it from your profile.

  1. Open Dota 2 and go to the home screen.
  2. Click on your nickname in the left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Stats” from the menu at the top of the profile screen.
  4. You can see your MMR score in the upper right corner of the screen, where you can view all statistics.

That’s it. If you don’t want to track your MMR score, you can also know directly what tier you’re in. These tiers, part of the system since 2017, are determined by your MMR score and represented by medals.

  • Herald: 0-616 MMR
  • Guardian: 616-1386 MMR
  • Crusader: 1386-2156 MMR
  • Archon: 2156-2926 MMR
  • Legend: 2310-3696 MMR
  • Ancient: 3696-4466 MMR
  • Divine: 4466-5420 MMR
  • Immortal: 5420+ MMR

Each ranked game is worth 30 MMR points. You’ll quickly level up if you win several matches in a row. Just play the heroes you know and switch heroes with your teammates if necessary.
