Electronics Art released a new Expansion Pack for the Sims 4 in middle 2021 known as Cottage Living. As with previously released packs, this one also comes with new customizations such as Create A Sim (CAS) and new pieces of furniture that your Sims can use as they want.

This new Expansion Pack also includes new animals that you can tend to such as birds, chickens and even cows. However, this is easier said than done as you’ll have to clean, feed and get a good place for the animals to sleep, especially chickens. So in this article we’ll be guiding you through how to clean chickens in Sims 4.

Take cows for instance, you get an option to clean them whenever you tap on a cow. This isn’t so for chickens. One way to clean a chicken is by cleaning its coop. This is because coops let you purchase roosters, hens and chicks. You will have to buy a single rooster and one hen so they can both mate and create hatchable eggs.

Another way to clean chickens in Sims 4 after they’ve become filthy is by cleaning the poultry. You’ll need to make your Sim wander outside the coop when it’s raining. But since it doesn’t always rain, you can manually change the weather, thanks to Dr. June’s Weather Control Device that is also a new feature in the Expansion Pack.

You can find this setting under the Outdoor Activities category in Outdoor. Then all you need to do is tap on Change Current Weather and choose Rain.

The more poultry you purchase, the more cleaning you’ll have to do in order to keep your chickens clean and happy. Chickens need to be clean and happy to produce healthy eggs that’ll eventually become chicks. Also, don’t forget to socialize with your chickens, if you don’t have a good relationship with them, they may not lay eggs.
