This will only work if you’re doing a job with someone in the same session as you. It won’t work if you’re doing a task in a dedicated heist/contact job session. So, here’s how you can share cash through the interaction menu:
- Press ‘M‘ to open up the interaction menu after you finish an event or job
- Scroll down to and go into ‘Inventory‘
- Find and select the ‘Cash‘ tab
- Select the ‘Share Cash from Last Job‘ option
- Decide how much cash from the previous job you’re going to give to a specific player in the session
You can also share your cash from VIP work. In order to start any sort of VIP mission, you’ll need to own an organization and become a CEO beforehand.
Worthwhile Freemode Events
As mentioned previously, the earnings from freemode events are the best thing to share with your friends or other people in the session. However, not all freemode events are good, and you need to know which ones to prioritize. The events that you should prioritize are:
- Business Battles: Battle other players for large drops of Business goods then return them to your warehouse or marked drop point
- Kill List: Take out as many Merryweather patrols in the provided vehicle
- Checkpoints: Collect checkpoints in land or sea vehicles around the map
- Hot Property: Capture and hold the target briefcase for as long as you can
- King of the Castle: Capture and hold out in an area for as long as possible
Dropping Cash upon Death
One popular method that people use to drop their on-hand cash is to let friends kill them repeatedly. This only works if you have on-hand cash (cash marked green), and will drop a certain amount of cash each time you’re killed by someone. That dropped cash will then be available to whoever runs up to it and picks it up.
Although this will impact the Kill and Death ratio of the player that’s dropping the money, it is a viable way to give your friend a little bit of money to simply get them started. You can only drop up to 500$ when you die, however, so we wouldn’t recommend this for dropping larger amounts of money for someone.
Giving Full Heist Cuts
Another great way for you to help out your beginner friends in GTA Online would be to load up a heist that they can’t afford to set up and give them the maximum cut of the heist. This works best with heists like the Casino, Doomsday, and Cayo Perico Heist.
The Cayo Perico heist is hands down the best heist for money-making. The Casino Heist comes in as a very close second, as you can sometimes get the same amount of money that you would for a Cayo Perico heist. The only real difference between the two is the time that it takes to complete the Cayo Perico heist.
The maximum cut percentage that you can give another player in the heist is 85%, and that is a lot of money if the heist profit is over 1.5 million. We’d recommend this method if you have an empire of businesses and organizations.
Selling Tuned Cars
Selling random cars that you’ve found on the street is another nifty way to bag yourself some quick cash in GTA Online. The way that players use this to gift their friends a bit of cash is simple. All you have to do is find a car on the streets and fully tune it without purchasing insurance for it.
Once you’ve tuned the car, find your friend and let them take the car to Los Santos Customs so that they can sell it. Whoever you gave the tuned car to will only realistically make about 50% of what you put in when they sell it. There is a cooldown for selling cars, so this isn’t something that you can grind for long though.
Synced VIP Job Rewards
VIP jobs are very lucrative when it comes to money-making, especially because of how quickly you can finish and start them. What makes them even better is that the same amount of money that you earn from them is also given to your associate/s. All you have to do is become a CEO and then invite your friend to the organization as an associate.
The payouts for most VIP jobs are usually something like 15-20k, and your associate/s will get the same amount. The most optimal VIP jobs are Sightseer and Headhunter. These two will guarantee more than 20k in cash.
Now you know how to drop and give money in GTA Online. This game has a very slow money-making curve that you can only alleviate by having more ways to earn money. To do that you need more businesses and sources of work, which also require more cash.
