What are Crests in Diablo Immortal?
Crests in Diablo Immortal is a currency that you can use in the Elder Rift activity in Westmarch. Elder Rift is a quick activity that you can farm to get good rewards. You can complete it without using Crests but the rewards are not nearly as good. However, if you do use Crests you get more loot and a chance to get a gem too.
When it comes to Crests themselves there are two types: Rare Crests and Legendary Crests:
Rare Crests: it’s the default kind of Crests that is relatively easy to get your hands on. Using it in the Elder Rift gives you a chance of getting a gem as a reward after killing the Guardian.
Legendary Crests: this is a much more exotic kind of Crest. Running with a Legendary Crest socketed will grant you greater rewards and a guaranteed gem upon Elder Rift’s completion. And if you have 10 Legendary Crests in a party you will empower the Rift and get even better rewards.
Buy Legendary Crests for Cash
Let’s start with the painful one, spending your real money. Legendary Crests are very rare and buying them is the only way to get a good amount of those. You can buy one Legendary Crest for 160 Eternal Orbs which is a premium currency in Diablo Immortal. As in, the currency that can only be bought for cash.
It can get expensive too. The bundle of 300 (+15) orbs costs $4.99 and that won’t even be enough for two Legendary Crests. The bundles become a bit more of a good deal like 1,500 (+150) orbs for $24.99 which gives you 10 Legendary Crests. But overall they are still quite expensive. If you are looking to get more value for money overall consider buying the Battle Pass which we cover at the end of this guide.
You can then exchange Eternal Orbs for Legendary Crests in the Crests section of the Shop. Alternatively, you can walk to the Crest Merchant (Jondo Mouren) right below the Elder Rift and exchange your Orbs there.
Get Free Rare Crests Every Day
Apart from the free Crests in the story quest, you can get a free Rare Crest every day by opening the Elder Rift menu. You don’t have to play, just open the Elder Rift and you will receive your rewards. If you are not playing constantly you can at least stack up on the free daily Rare Crests.
Buy Crests for Hilts
Hilts is another currency in Diablo Immortal that you get for achievements, First Kill of the Day, Battle Pass, and a few more things that aren’t really farmable. You can exchange Hilts at the Hilts Trader (Lieutenant Fizriah) on the East side of Westmarch for a variety of loot including Crests.
At the trader you can buy Crests in a few ways:
- 2 daily Rare Crests (300 Hilts each)
- 1 monthly Legendary Crest (1600 Hilts)
- Buy crests from Limited Time Offers
If you are an Immortal you can buy even more Crests from the dedicated Immortals section.
We know the temptation of spending all the hilts straight away to get as many Crests as you can from this shop to farm the Elder Rift. It seems like the easiest way to get crests in Diablo Immortal but since Hilts are not farmable they become rarer and more valuable as you progress. So if the Elder Rift is not your priority you might as well save your Hilts for later.
Get Rare Crests From the Battle Pass
Diablo Immortal also features a Battle Pass with 40 tiers. The rewards from the Battle Pass are resources for the most part along with a few cosmetics.
Among those resources, there are 23 Rare and 3 Legendary Crests available through both free and paid tiers. There are also a few Legendary Gems which is what most of the players use Legendary Crests to farm. With the Battle Pass being only $4.99 it could be a good investment in your characters.
