Thanks to these improvements you’ll get very valuable ammunition and weapon parts. In this article, we’ll tell you how to do it, namely how to level up traders in Escape From Tarkov.

Trader levels are crucial in EFT. To improve your account and compete against other players, your main goal should be to maximize traders as fast as possible. We’ll tell you what you need to know and give you helpful tips in a moment, but first, we want to talk about the exact value of traders in Escape from Tarkov.

All Traders in Escape From Tarkov

If you’re new to EFT, it’s okay to be confused. Especially during event periods, the game really scatters to different sides. However, the traders who disappear from time to time and come back with events are one of the most important sources of motivation in the game. After all, if you put the gameplay experience aside, you’ll be doing most of the things in the game to increase the trader’s level.

There are eight traders in total in Escape from Tarkov: Prapor, Therapist, Fence, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman, and Jaeger. It is obvious that their names are not very creative, but you can turn a blind eye to their contribution.

Weapon parts, ammunition, and other items you can buy from each trader are different. However, all the best items are locked at the beginning of the game. Therefore, you need to increase the level of the traders. This level system is called the Traders Loyalty Level, or LL for short. To reach these levels, which range from LL1 to LL4, you need to develop three sub-traits of traders.

We’ll go into this in detail in a moment, but remember that all the values are interrelated. Among the traders, there’s only Fence, whose development system is different. For him, you need to perform special Scav tasks.

How to Level Up Traders in Escape From Tarkov

There are three attributes that you need to bring to a certain level before you can increase the Loyalty Level:

  • Player PMC level
  • Reputation with the trader (Standing)
  • Total transaction value (Spent)

These three requirements are completely independent of each other, but what they all have in common is a lot of raiding, successfully evading maps, and collecting good loot. As long as you achieve these, you can fulfill all three requirements quickly (fast in EFT usually means very slow in other games).

You need to play as much EFT as possible to increase the player’s PMC level. The more you play the game and earn experience points, the faster this requirement will be fulfilled. Focus on missions that give more experience points and are oriented toward in-game events.

To improve your reputation with the traders, you should bring and sell them better loot. Also, if you fulfill their requests for special items, their trust in you will grow very quickly. Usually, these two requirements are easy to fulfill. What counts and lasts for a long time is the money you spend on the traders, the third requirement.

The total transaction value is just what comes to your mind first. This amount increases when you sell the loot you collect while playing Escape from Tarkov to traders. The more sales, the faster the increase. Sales aren’t the only way to increase this value though. It also includes bartering, insurance costs, and item repairs. Thus, you don’t really have to concentrate on selling.

Tips for Trader Leveling Fast in EFT

There’s no way to speed up the first two requirements. You need to play the game as much as possible, make good loot, escape from the city without dying, and complete missions that give you high experience points. The first two won’t be a problem anyway.

If you’ve got the reputation with the trader and player PMC level, there are two tips you can apply to fill the total transaction value quickly:

  • Using the flea market: You can sell the same products to traders for similar values as you buy them at the flea market. This way you can get a high transaction value without much effort. But you’ll have to commute a little.
  • Buying in advance and in bulk: If you’ve enough credits, buy items in large quantities to use in the next raids. This way you increase the transaction value and you can plan in advance.

That’s it! These are all the basics you need to know about how to level up traders in Escape From Tarkov. Remember that EFT is an online game and is constantly evolving with new updates. For example, before you make bulk purchases at the flea market, you should check the prices of the trader you want to sell to.
