Released in the year 2016, you can now officially play the In and Out mode in GTA Online. It was released as a continuation of the Lowriders: Custom Classics update and was introduced to the audience in an “In and Out week” event. As of now, you can play this mode on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In the release year, the game’s creators did an impressive thing to celebrate the launch of this version for three successive days. Players were offered to earn double GTA$ and RP when they played the three maps featured in this mode and the featured playlist.

Along with that, players were also awarded many more bonuses in this gaming mode. Perks included – discounts on Combat MG, Grenades, SMG ammunition, and Assault Rifle Mods. All these were available in the In and Out week event.

If you are a regular GTA Online player, you must be aware of all the perks offered to the players in this gaming mode.

GTA Online is currently spotlighting this adversary mode, along with Stockpile. If the gamers opt to play this mode right now, they will earn more rewards than they usually do.

NOTE: The event ended on December 29th, 2021. But there is a high chance that Rockstar Games will bring back the event once again.

This section of the article will give you all the information about how to play In and Out in GTA Online.

Overview: What is the In and Out Mode

While playing the In and Out mode, one can see a pack of defenders heavily armed with weapons and ammunition trying to protect eight packages. A timer is present on the screen, which shows the amount of time left for the attackers, and the defenders have to protect it until the timer runs out.

The game is not as simple as it looks from the outside. The attackers must take concrete steps to enter the enemies’ territory, snatch the bags, and get them safely to the home territory.

Basic Rules of In and Out Mode

The game has to be played by two different teams, where they have to compete in the Capture mode. This game can be played by a group consisting of a minimum of three players and a maximum of 10.

The two teams are labelled as the “defenders” and the “attackers.” The defenders are responsible for protecting eight briefcases until the timer runs out.

The time provided is about 5 minutes. The attacker is responsible for grabbing these packages from the defenders and bringing them to the home territory.

Take note that you must grab all eight packages and bring them to your home territory. If you don’t do that, you will lose to the attackers. Even if you get six or seven packages, that does not matter.

Being a defender, you will be given more advantages because of the many weapons and ammo. They simply have to defend the packages from the attackers, and they can also see the packages on the map, so they know exactly where the attackers have to go.

An icon will be displayed above their head for the players that will allow them to track their fellow teammates. This feature is essential for gamers because of two reasons:

  1. It will let the players know all about the current location of the other players.
  2. How much distance do they have to travel to protect them?

NOTE: You cannot get into the base of the opponent party, be it of the defenders or the attackers. If you try to do that, you will be out of the game since you did not play inside the area, and a message will pop into your screen showing “out of the area.”

This gaming mode offers much more exciting stuff than just competing in the capture more. For example, suppose one attacker dies while taking the package to their home territory.

In that case, the package remains wherever the player died, and there is no such option for the defender to pick up the bag. Therefore, another attacker gets the chance to pick up the bag and take it to the home territory.

NOTE: There are a total of six maps in this mode. Have a thorough study of those maps before playing.

In the 2021 event, it was observed that San Andreas was covered entirely in snow. However, this apparently made the game even more interesting. There is a high chance that Rockstar Games may introduce terrain like this in 2022 as well.

If you find a horrible teammate in the first round and think that you can never win this game because of that player, it is not true. In each round, your team and the teammates shall change.

Therefore, if you have three rounds, then in the first round, you will be the defender. In the second round, you will turn into an attacker, and you will be the defender in the 3rd round. Along with that, the teammates in each game will be picked up randomly by the system.

This was all the information we could provide on how to play In and Out in GTA Online. If you want to read more such guides and news on GTA, don’t forget to check our page.
