Riot Games’ upcoming 5v5 tactical-shooter, VALORANT (previously known as “Project A”) has got the entire gaming community talking about it. Riot announced the beta on Twitter a few days ago, and today I’m going to show you how to play in the closed beta for VALORANT.
The beta will only be available to players in the following regions: Canada, United States, Russia, Turkey and Europe. Riot do plan to bring the game to more regions, so you may still be able to play at the game at its official launch sometime in Summer of this year.
How to play in the VALORANT closed beta
To get in line for VALORANT’s closed beta, you’ll want to go here and register for a Riot account. If you’ve already got one, you can just log in. The next thing you’ll need to do is connect your Riot Games account to Twitch. To do this, go to Twitch, click on the avatar at the top right corner of your screen, and make your way to the settings page. From there, you’ll need to navigate to the Connections tab and add your Riot Games account.
When the closed beta is live (April 7th at 2 pm CEST), head over to Twitch and watch streamers who are playing the closed beta. Keep refreshing this page to see if you have been chosen for the closed beta.
Any progress you make during the beta will be reset when the game’s officially launched to make the experience fairer.
Also, if you purchase any VALORANT points, you’ll get a 20% bonus when the game officially launches as a thank you.
