The new Call of Duty is just around the corner! Here’s how to preload Black Ops Cold War on your PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Black Ops Cold War is coming VERY soon. Little over a week, in fact. The closer to launch we get, the more leaks and information drops. It’s a common-enough situation and can be useful in some cases. Recently, we reported on the leaked list of Black Ops Cold War scorestreaks. Now, though, some official information has been released to help people manage the large downloads they’ll face trying to install the new Call of Duty.

Below, you’ll find information on how to preload Black Ops Cold War on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. We’ve listed when you can do it and how big the file sizes are. In all three cases, you can preload the game by finding it on the relevant storefront and finding the installation option from there. Alternatively, for console players, these titles will appear in your game library with a timed-lock. Once this is up, you’d install it like you would any other. Then… Wait for launch.

How To Preload Black Ops Cold War on PlayStation

On PlayStation 4, preloading for Black Ops Cold War is set to begin November 5 at 21:00 PT. This means, it’s already available for those in the GMT time-zone and went live around 05:00. Be sure to check when this is for your time-zone, as it isn’t the smallest download. The PlayStation 4 version of Black Ops Cold War clocks in at around 95GB.

For PlayStation 5 players, you’ll be able to preload Black Ops Cold War as soon as you get your console. If it’s on November 12, be sure to start preloading ahead of the November 13 launch date. If you get the PS5 around November 19, in other regions, it’ll be available as soon as you get it. Black Ops Cold War is around 133GB on PlayStation 5.

For both of these versions, as a console player, you’ll be able to choose to uninstall specific game modes and update packs. This will work in a similar way to how you can do this with Modern Warfare currently. Be sure to play through the Campaign first, but once you’re done with it… You could free up some important space by getting rid of it.

For players who are getting Black Ops Cold War on Xbox, you’ll be pleased to know that preloading also starts November 5 at 21:00 PT. So, like on PlayStation 4, it should be live in the GMT time-zone already! The file size is a little less on the Xbox One, though. Black Ops Cold War only takes up 93GB.

On the Xbox Series X|S, Black Ops Cold War is a little bigger. It’ll set you back 136 GB of space, which is killer for the Xbox Series S. Thankfully, you’ll be able to preload Black Ops Cold War ahead of it’s launch date on both the Xbox Series X|S as soon as you get your console.

Again, for both of these versions, as a console player, you’ll be able to choose to uninstall specific game modes and update packs. This will work in a similar way to how you can do this with Modern Warfare currently. How To Preload Black Ops Cold War

Black Ops Cold War is coming to PC exclusively through Battle.net, the launcher used by Blizzard and Activison. Unlike consoles, the PC preloading for Black Ops Cold War begins November 10 at 10:00 PT. So, for those in the GMT time-zone, this will be around 18:00 on the same day.

The file sizes for Black Ops Cold War are a little more forgiving on PC, too. Multiplayer Only is around 35GB. Meanwhile, the full game will be around 82GB. If you download the full game with Ultra Graphics, though, you’re looking at around 125GB.
