How to Slide Cancel in Warzone

Updated:

Players use various tactics to get an edge over their opponents in Call of Duty: Warzone and one of them is the slide cancel. This mechanic will let you move faster that you can use to escape enemies and reach your destination quickly.

In addition, it helps you escape the Tactical Sprint cooldown that may prove quite crucial in intense situations. However, it is tricky to perform and it will take time for you to get used to it. Here’s how you can perform slide cancel in Warzone on PC and controller.

You will have to use Tactical Sprint continuously in order to perform slide cancel. In order to slide cancel using keyboard and mouse, you will have to set Change Stance/Slide keybind to left CTRL as you will be able to press it continuously without any issues. Once done, you can follow these steps:

  1. First of all, you will have to press your Tactical Sprint button i.e. left Shift twice.
  2. After that, hold left CTRL to slide and then, hit it again to crouch.
  3. Then, instantly hit Space to return to your standing position.
  4. Repeat the above steps, again and again, to perform slide cancel repeatedly.

On the other side, doing it on consoles is a bit simpler and you can do it following the steps below:

  1. Double-tap the left stick to start Tactical Sprint.
  2. Hold circle/B to start sliding and then, press circle/B again to crouch.
  3. Instantly hit cross/A to return to the standing position.
  4. Repeat the steps to perform slide cancel again and again.

Learning slide cancel is quite important in Call of Duty: Warzone, so we recommend that you start practicing it soon as it gives you more movement control. If you have the best weapon loadout and have mastered the skill, the results will be fantastic.
