What Is a Taunt in Multiversus
Taunts are small emotes, specific to each character, that make your hero say a joke or sometimes a comment about your opponent’s hero. While they don’t help you win a match, you can use them to play mind tricks on your opponent or for a little silly banter.
Each character has a few unique taunts, some more than others. They are a reward for progression, and more are set to be added to the game periodically. For example, Wonder Woman’s weight-lifting taunt can be unlocked from the premium battle pass.
Most taunts are unlocked by progressing through the game, and all heroes come with one taunt already unlocked. You can also buy emotes, as some of them are only unlockable via a purchase. They each cost 350 gems.
Be mindful when using taunts while in a match as they stop your character from moving.
How to Use Taunts in MultiVersus
To taunt, you’re going to have to use one of your hero’s emotes. First, when selecting your character, navigate to the emotes section and set the emotes you wish to use while in a match.
After that, get into a match and press on the D-PAD (for controller users) or T, 2, 3, 4 keys (default keyboard settings).
Taunts may seem useless, but they really add something to your character. They can help you immerse in the game and can also provide a lot of funny moments. Make sure you drink every last tear of your enemy when you’re doing the iconic Finn dance or looking through your utility belt as Batman.
But to be able to flex on your opponent you have to first master one of the characters in the game. Here are a free MultiVersus guides that will teach you how to play certain characters and become a better fighter in this multiverse:
