Ready or Not How To unlock Additional Missions

One of the best tactical FPS games in years, Ready or Not is a true hidden gem. Filled with content and endless modding possibilities, Ready or Not can provide a lot of bang for your buck. But many players find themselves stuck on missions and don’t know where to go next. Here’s how to unlock missions in Ready or Not.

Ready or Not – Progression System

Unlike many other modern games, Ready or Not does not rely on a typical progression system to get players hooked. Instead, the game offers almost everything to the player and acts more like a sandbox, showing faith that players will discover how to take advantage of everything.

It’s a nice change of pace from the battle pass and endless progression craze we’ve been seeing for the past few years. Although almost everything is unlocked for players right out of the gate, there are still some things to note about how missions “unlock”.

What missions types are in Ready or Not

Ready or Not has a variety of game modes that you can unlock and play in Ready or Not, and each model comes with unique missions and maps. Some maps might be shared between certain modes, but not always.

Let’s take a look at all the modes available in Ready or Not:

  • Hostage Rescue Missions

The most iconic mission style for this type of game, hostage rescue missions is also the most difficult to pull off in Ready or Not. Being the main game mode, the story is also tied to it (at least for now). To win a game of Hostage Rescue you have to rescue all the hostages while using minimal lethal force.

  • Active Shooting Missions

Similar to Hostage missions, Active Shootings are a little easier, but you still have to be careful because the shooter is already killing civilians. This mission focuses more on timing and how fast you can save the hostages before the shooter kills them. It also requires precise gunplay and a good loadout.

  • Barricaded Suspect Missions

This is the first type of mission you will play. They serve mostly as introductory missions and are very easy. The goal of the mission is to save civilians that are not in immediate danger and detain the suspects.

  • Bomb Threat

A difficult type of mission that has multiple goals and threats. To win you have to save the civilians and disarm the bomb, while sometimes fighting enemies. More advanced missions designed with multiplayer in mind.

  • Raid

A little harder than the Barricade missions, but still not as hard as the others, Raids are the closest thing you’ll have to “non-tactic” gameplay, more focused on action.

How to Unlock All Missions in Ready or Not

There are two ways to play Ready or Not. Either Singleplayer or Multiplayer. In multiplayer, everything will be unlocked for you straight out of the gate. All maps, all modes, and all missions are playable from minute one of jumping into the multiplayer.

If you’re looking to unlock more missions in Ready or Not single-player, however, don’t worry. This is also really easy. All you have to do is progress through the mild story of the game. Go from the map to map as the game directs you, and, in no time, all of the missions will be unlocked. This is also the only thing you have to worry about unlocking, as all gadgets are unlocked from the start.

There is also an additional way to play more missions that are starting to pick up steam in the community. Mods. Players have begun creating all sorts of maps and scenarios – from hilarious Star Wars mods to faithful recreations of SWAT games.

There are many maps and game modes in Ready or Not, some of which require a bit of additional knowledge and mechanical skills. Here are some tricks that you need to know when playing:
