Black Ops Cold War Season 3

Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War is upon us, and with it comes loads of exciting new content. Some of the biggest features of the new season are the new weapons. Here’s how to unlock the PPSh, Swiss K31 and Ballistic Knife in Black Ops Cold War.

The three new weapons that are hitting Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are free to obtain. Here’s how to unlock the new submachine gun, sniper rifle, and melee weapon in Season 3.

The PPSh-41 submachine gun is the first weapon that is obtainable in Season 3. To unlock it, just reach tier 15 in the Battle Pass. This weapon has “moderate” damage per shot with a very fast fire rate and a massive ammunition capacity.

The Swiss K31 sniper rifle is the second weapon to be obtained in Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. To unlock the sniper, simply reach tier 31 of the Battle Pass. The Swiss K31 is a bolt-action sniper with immaculate accuracy, a fast rechamber, quick ADS, and a large ammo capacity to round it out. A good comparison for the Swiss K31 is the Kar98k, so if you already enjoy that sniper, definitely try out the new K31.

How to Ballistic Knife

If you’ve never used a ballistic knife in the Call of Duty franchise, you’re going to want to unlock this as soon as possible. The weapon was first introduced in the original Black Ops title back in 2010. It’s a standard knife that silently shoots out lethal blades that you can go and pick up again later.

At the moment, this melee weapon remains a mystery. Unfortunately, the developers have not revealed what will have to be done to obtain it. Looking at previous challenges, the ballistic knife may be obtained with a melee kill challenge or simply reaching a higher tier in the Battle Pass.

All we know for sure is that it will be available for the beginning of Season 3 in BOCW and will be implemented into Warzone later in the season.

Whether or not the PPSh and Swiss K31 will affect the meta of the game will be found out soon after the weapons are released.
