How to Use Gas Stove DayZ

The gas stove is a piece of equipment that you can find in any of the camping areas in DayZ. Once you acquire it, combine the gas stove with a gas canister to create a portable gas stove.

After crafting it, you will need a cooking pot or frying pan to cook your food in. When you have the necessary cooking utensils, you can combine them with your cooking pot or pan and use them to cook your food. The extra Pan or pot won’t take up any extra space in your inventory. It’s just another advantage of this neat little cooking device.

To begin cooking your food, make sure there is water in your desired utensil before you begin. Next, turn it on and place your food into the utensil and wait for it to completely cook the food. From there, take your food out and enjoy.

Tips When Using the Stove in DayZ

The gas stove doesn’t need matches to turn it. It also produces little light or smoke, making it an ideal option for cooking on the go or when you need to make a quick exit.

The gas stove can run out if you aren’t watching the gas consumption. This will also mean you are forced to go into a town if you run out and can be a risky venture. So try to watch the consumption and don’t put yourself in a situation where you need the gas desperately.

The gas stove can also only use one utensil at a time, unlike the Stone ovens or house fireplaces that can cook with two utensils at once. Lastly, be aware that the gas stove can take damage and get ruined if the bag it is in takes damage from bullets or weapons.

Now that you know how to use a gas stove in DayZ, you’re all set to get cooking. Though if you do forget to cook your meat and get sick, check out our guide on how to cure sickness in DayZ.
