After much speculation, it has officially been confirmed that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is being released in August.

The game’s Twitter account came back to life, after having not posted since 2012, to confirm the news:

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was released way back in February 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and was developed by Big Huge Games & 38 Studios and was published by EA. The Legend of Dead Kel DLC was released in March 2012 and the Teeth of Naros DLC in April 2012. The rights for the game were purchased by THQNordic in 2018, shortly followed by an announcement to remaster the game. The original game received positive reviews, scoring an 81 on Metacritic. Here is some more info on the game:

“From the minds of the bestselling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston, comes Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Remastered with stunning visuals and refined gameplay Re-Reckoning delivers intense, customizable RPG combat inside a sprawling game world,”
