Is Kojima getting ready to create the scariest horror game of all time? A recent tweet suggests PT is finally being made!
In 2014, Kojima revealed PT (Playable Teaser) at Gamescom 2014, a teaser to potentially the scariest horror game of all time. This game was going to be the next in the Silent Hill series and would star Norman Reedus. The demo was later released on Playstation 4 but was sadly removed after Kojima parted ways with Konami.
Now, with Death Stranding (also starring Norman Reedus) having just been released, it seems Kojima may be ready to have another crack at creating the “scariest horror game”. Kojima recently tweeted that he was watching the horror movie “THE EYE”, a movie so scary he can’t even look at the box art and had to “rent the disc only”. Kojima used “THE EYE” as inspiration when creating PT. Does this mean that Kojima is gearing up to finally give us PT?
“As to make the scariest horror game, I’ll watch the scary movies in order to awaken my horror soul.” Kojima tweeted. “THE EYE is the Thai horror movie I rent when making PT but was too scary to finish watching. The package is scary so I rented the disc only. Will I be able to finish watching?”
Kojima can’t use the Silent Hill franchise, as that IP is owned by Konami. Still, we could very well still get the game PT was meant to be minus any Silent Hill references.
Horror fans across the world will be overjoyed if this turns out to be true. We’ve all thought that we would never get to experience the full Silent Hills game. Now it looks like we may just get to in the future.
