After exactly three years, TSM are again the LCS Summer Split Champions. Although FlyQuest managed to defeat other well-known teams such as Cloud9 and TeamLiquid, after a really hard-fought best of five, TSM managed to grab the title of champions for the season 2020, securing their name in the first spot for the World Championship 2020.
Game 1 – 2
The first game was masterfully executed by TSM: almost ten thousand gold leads, they managed to get all the dragons and sixteen more kills than their opponents. BrokenBlade’s Camille managed to finish the match with about 10k more damage than the other TSM members, allowing his team to easily destroy FlyQuest‘s Nexus.
The second game starts with an advantage for TSM team, unfortunately an electrical problem in WildTurtle’s home, adc for FlyQuest, caused an interruption of the game for 40 minutes.
While the two teams were busy with a dragon fight, mid laner Bjergsen manages to make a backdoor into the FlyQuest base and thus lead his team to victory. Although FlyQuest took more dragons, it failed to compensate the amount of kills, gold, or towers in favor of TSM.
Game 3 – 4
Nevertheless, FlyQuest managed to get up and keep fighting.
Playing by the book and not missing an opportunity, FlyQuest managed to win the first victory of the series.
During game 4 the real MVP was WildTurtle with his Caitlyn, however the performance of FlyQuest‘s jungler is the true backbone of the game: Spica’s Sett manages to steal two dragons from the enemy team and and then to conquer the Baron’s buff, thus leading his team to victory.
Starting from a negative score of the first two games, FlyQuest manages to force the Game 5.
FlyQuest have started the last game strong enough to take revenge for the defeat of the SprinSplit, however they were overwhelmed by TSM who fought more ardently than ever. They wanted to be champions again, and they succeeded.
