Riot Games, developers of League of Legends mentioned that late in 2020 they were planning on redoing their recently released idea of Prestige skins, though in the prestige update we recently received it has come to our attention that they won’t be able to meet their deadline in 2021.
They haven’t released a reason as to why or what issues could be causing this delay, but what they did give us is a list of all the following prestige skins we can expect for the year, for the in-game currency of Prestige Points.
The following is what we can expect for the rest of the year for League of Legends Prestige Point: Battle Academia Leona (releasing in patch 11.6), Conqueror Jax, Zed (for a previously released skin). Patch 11.6 is already live and the Leona skin is available for purchase.
They also told us what event passes prestige champs we can also expect, they are the following: Lunar Beast Fiora, Space Groove Lulu (releasing in patch 11.7), Sylas, Pantheon. Lunar Beast Fiora has already been released and the time to get her has since passed.
It’s great to see that a lot of champions that aren’t currently in a super great state are getting these skins, the idea to try and shift power into champions that are underperforming, or just generally doesn’t have a lot of skins.
We look forward to seeing what thematic they can come up with to fit champions like Zed, and Pantheon as well as hopefully we can get a new Sylas skin line that isn’t for a different region.
Players also should remember about the skin lines we voted on earlier this year, Crime City, Debonair 2.0 and the Monster catcher skins, we could be seeing a prestige skin for those as well.
