League of Legends has well-over 100 Legends for you to get stuck into. One of those is the increasingly popular Seraphine. It’s all well and good wanting to play a new League character, but it’s worth knowing what Runes are in play and the best builds and strategies before diving in.

Below, we’ve put together a Seraphine Guide to help you out with this Support Legend. It’s worth noting, both new and experienced players might benefit from this. So, make sure you give it a full look!

Seraphine Guide – Runes & Summoner Spells

League of Legends players will commonly find Seraphine in the bottom lane as Support. This Rune set-up will prioritize Seraphine’s cooldown reduction allowing her to use her abilities more and help her duo and team:

  • With Sorcery on your first Rune page, this allows her more poke on laning phase or defensive protection. A very standard choice for Seraphine as the keystones synergize with her abilities.
  • Scorch will help again with poking but can be traded with Gathering Storm if you prefer to scale for late game.
  • Biscuit Delivery and Cosmic Insight, works very well with your Sorcery choices: Biscuit supports the early laning with substantial poking and Cosmic Insight works with Transcendence allowing Seraphine 45% of CDR.

You can swap for Resolve> Guardian> Shield Bash> Bone Plating> Revitalize if concerned about Seraphine’s squishy-ness and encountering a tough match-up.

Flash & Ignite

Standard picks are Flash for its engage and escape possibilities. Ignite will help give Seraphine a little bit of kill pressure. It’s the perfect cancel to an ADC’s heal.

Flash & Exhaust

Flash and Exhaust is also another option. Great against heavy-damage ADC or partnering with champions that can harass or hard engage early. Also, has great synergy with her Beat Drop ability.

Seraphine Guide – Build & Skill Order

Since Seraphine has great range but has issues with her mana early, Spellthief’s Edge will be your best starting item pick. For Boots, you will have a couple options to choose from depending on your situation:

  • Many choose the Ionian Boots of Lucidity to continue rushing that CDR Seraphine can prioritize.
  • As quite an immobile champion, Mobility Boots will offer some help for roaming.
  • Sorcerer’s shoes gives better damage as it provides Seraphine with increased magic penetration.

The Ardent Censer is one of the most popular items fans use on Seraphine and they’re not wrong. It has great synergy with Seraphine’s Surround Sound (W) which buffs her whole team when in range with attack speed, healing and damage. Even just in the bot lane, this is a significant boost for your fellow bot laner. Staff of Flowing Water, which buffs your team’s AP, can be a good pair with it. Perfect for AP comps and supporting the W upgrade.

Imperial Mandate is a good mythic item for Seraphine as it gives her additional damage to her Beat Drop (E) which slows enemies. With the Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, it turns her E into a root thus these two items give Seraphine massive crowd control abilities.

Redemption will be a wise choice against enemies that harass and poke a lot. If you are secure defensively, Cosmic Drive can bring Seraphine some support in all other areas such as AP, health, CDR, and mobility.

Beat Drop(E)28101213

Seraphine Max Abilities Order

There’s mainly two options for Seraphine for maxing abilities: either max Q or max E first? That would depend. Maxing Q would fit more of a poking game play taking advantage of her range. While on the other hand, maxing E will help support your duo in pick and peeling using Beat Drop as its cooldown drops.

Seraphine Tips For Early Game

Seraphine’s early game is quite simple. She outranges multiple champions, but keep in mind her early squishy-ness. Poke at a distance and trade if the opportunity presents itself. Steadily support your duo and keep your laning phase safe. However, Seraphine performs very well on team fights so prepare for these situations. Roaming early game might not be too wise of a decision because of her immobility.

Seraphine Tips For Mid-to-Late Game

At this time, you will have more freedom in game. As you begin to have a solid base of items, it’s time to push your lanes and get objectives. Yes, you can roam now. During team fights, Seraphine can stay safe in the back line while providing her team with support using Surround Sound as well as dealing damage with High Note. Seraphine’s game is outstanding when with her teammates.

Seraphine Guide Conclusion

Seraphine is an interesting addition to many support players option. If you’re the type of player who would prefer to not be left alone by your team, play Seraphine. Your teammates will understand why you are sticking with them. In addition to her strong support capabilities. The enemy team might just want to avoid all team fights.
