Rather than fighting as Jin Sakai, Legends has players choosing one of four unique classes. While each class is equipped with the basics, they also have differing sets of abilities and a unique skill tree.
In this article, we’ll be talking through the Assassin Class skill tree. Below you’ll find images of each skill on the tree and an explanation of what they can do. This will help you shape your legend, Assassin.
Assassin Techniques Skill Tree
Shadow Strike – Rank 1 Ultimate
The Assassin Class’ ultimate ability is it’s defining feature. Shadow Strike can target three enemies from a distance and allow the Assassin the freedom to jump in and kill them with ease and ruthless lethality.
Toxic Vanish – Rank 1 Class Ability
The first Class Ability for the Assassin Class is Toxic Vanish. This is essentially a poisonous Smoke Bomb and is a perfect way to thin the crowd. Not only does it allow the player to vanish, meaning they can assassinate and critical strike opponents, it also poisons them and deals stagger damage over time. It only takes a couple of seconds to stagger opponents.
Group Vanish – Rank 10 Class Ability
Rather than produce a cloud of toxic gas, this allows the Assassin to bring his allies with him. Vanishing along with nearby allies can be useful in initiating a fight or getting out of one quick. It also has a lower cooldown of 50s, when compared to Toxic Vanish’s 62s.
Critical Hit – Rank 2 Perk 1
This perk adds additional damage to assassinations. It inflicts 30% more, in fact. This is perfect when used with Smoke Bombs and either Class Ability… It’s also useful for anyone who prefers to approach situations stealthily, really. 30% makes a big difference against brutes.
Super Strike – Rank 7 Perk 1
This adds an additional option for assassinations… Rather than press square, Super Strike adds a double-damage Stealth Attack. It costs one resolve, but can be useful in taking down larger opponents quietly.
Assassin Unleashed – Rank 14 Perk 1
Assassin Unleashed is a fantastic choice for players who are in and out of combat quickly. It reduces the Class Ability cooldown by 15%/ This means, Toxic Vanish will have a cooldown of 52.7s and Group Vanish has a cooldown of 42.5s.
Experienced Assassin – Rank 3 Perk 2
While this doesn’t add damage to Stealth Attacks, it does add time. Well… it takes away time. It makes Stealth Attacks faster and quieter, meaning you have more time to get away… Or make another.
Light Step – Rank 9 Perk 2
Light Step is perfect for Assassin Class players who like to close gaps quickly. It makes the player silent while running and can be important in navigating an enemy War Camp quickly and efficiently… All without being heard.
Opportunist – Rank 16 Perk 2
This Perk is perfect for players who have perfect timing with their allies and exceptional teamwork. It deals 50% more assassination damage to Staggered Enemies. This can be combined with the Hunter’s Staggering Arrow to lethal effect.
Shadow Storm – Rank 5 Perk 3
This is the one you need if you’re a fan of the Ultimate Ability. It adds 2 additional strikes to Shadow Strike, meaning it can hit up to five opponents. Perfect at clearing out a group or taking down an Oni with ease.
Chain Vanish – Rank 11 Perk 3
Successfully assassinating an enemy while vanished re-activates vanish and refreshes the duration. Uh… What?! If you’re a skilled Assassin Class player, this allows you to tear through opponents comfortably without being seen. Get in, stab, get out, stab again…. You get the idea.
Legendary – Rank 18 Perk 3
This allows Assassin Class players to equip another Legendary item to their loadout. Legendary items are extremely rare and by-far the best quality of equipment available in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
Classes are a vital part of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends and hopefully this will help you make the right choices when it comes to the Assassin Class perks.
