Without further ado, let’s jump into our Patch 11.3 Mid Lane Tier List!

Mid Lane Tier List: Best Champions

Anivia LoL

Despite the nerf in this patch, Anivia remains one of the best champions for mid lane. Her insane scaling & zoning potential has very few rivals, and her passive helps her surviving the early stages of the game.

Once she gets the levels & items she needs, she becomes the 1v9 killing machine that can single-handedly destroy an entire team. Picking her up will surely give you some sweet LP!

The mid lane meta revolves around two opposing themes: either champions that can assassinate & roam around the map or wave clearing mages with strong late-game presence.

Ekko excels at the first theme while having decent wave clearing with his Q+passive. If he gets ahead, he can basically one-shot enemies by proc’ing Z-Drive Resonance. Ekko, however, does suffer in certain matchups and he’s also hard to learn so you might struggle in the beginning when learning him.

Next on the list is Katarina. She’s basically very similar to Ekko, with even harder mechanics. If you can master her, however, she’s one of strongest solo-carry champions in the whole game.

One of her strengths is that she can go multiple builds, granting her a lot of flexibility, both in team comps as well as in the lane matchup.

Malzahar LoL

Malzahar has been rising in popularity due to his insane wave clear. Paired with his Ultimate, he can shut down any annoying target that your team might struggle with.

His kit is very straightforward and his laning is extremely safe since he can farm from a very safe distance. His only problem, however, is that he’s very slow at roaming. Don’t forget to get Teleport on him.

Seraphine continues to be one of the most played champions in the game. Not only she can be played in the bot lane (both as AP carry & support), but she also fares well in the mid lane alone.

She has a more-than-decent wave clear and her Ultimate is a big game-changer. Not to mention her shields & heals, which can save your team in any teamfight.

Viktor LoL

The last champion on our list is Viktor. After Riot Games changed his passive, his play rate has been slowly increasing. Getting a few takedowns in the early game allows him to get the abilities’ upgrades a lot earlier.

Upgrading his E means that he can shove minion waves twice as fast, not to mention that it is very easy to hit at least one instance of it on your enemy, constantly poking him out.

His zoning potential & repositioning are also exceptional for a mid laner: if you want to climb in soloqueue, make sure to play him while he remains strong!

So what do you think of the meta? Is there any particular champion that we missed out on? Do you agree with our tier list? Let us know in the comments!
