LoL Patch 11.4 Preview: Nerfs to the Jungle?

After Patch 11.3 hit the live servers in LoL a few days ago, Riot Games is planning to make changes to the jungle in Patch 11.4!

LoL Patch 11.4 Preview – Lower Jungle EXP & Gold

Riot Games is looking to take some power off from junglers, who have been dominating the meta with too much influence on the lanes.

Their goal is to make clears slightly slower in order to prevent from junglers to power farm their way to victory. They’re making some of the jungle camps slightly tankier, as well as decreasing the EXP & gold granted.

This change will surely somewhat impact the meta, which has been all about power farming junglers like Udyr & Olaf. We might see a complete shift of the meta very early into the season, where most leagues haven’t even played half of the split.

This will also undoubtedly impact the soloqueue, where we might see ganking junglers come back into the meta. Remember to stay tuned for all the tier lists & patch rundowns made by us!

Items Changes

Cosmic Drive

  • Ability haste lowered from 30 to 20
  • Spelldance passive changed from [Dealing damage with Abilities grants (10 + 20% Ability Haste) Move Speed for 4 seconds.] to [If you have at least 160 Ability Power, gain 20 Ability Haste and 10 – 30 Move Speed.]

There are also some changes to some of the items that haven’t been picked as much. Cosmic drive’s power has been shifted into a very strong 4th item, hoping to buff the mages back into the meta.

Everfrost

  • New Recipe: [Lost Chapter + Kindlegem + Blasting Wand + 450g]
    • Total cost unchanged
  • Health increased from 200 to 250
  • Glaciate passive damage increased from [100 + 30% AP] to [125 +35% AP]

Similarly to Cosmic drive, Everfrost is also getting a few changes with its damage & health increased. The item wasn’t really that popular apart from some specific champions (Kassadin, for example) so the balance team is looking to make it slightly more usable.

We’ll have to see if any other PBE changes will be coming up & how will the jungle nerfs perform on the PBE servers! Stay tuned for more content and let us know in the comments what you think about the changes so far!
