China’s professional League of Legends teams are featured on LPL English’s social media platforms in what they call a ‘hype trailer’. And we can tell you… the hype is real!
The LPL has 4 teams entering this years’ Worlds 2020 which begins on September 25th in their Play-In stage. Through a video that lasted just over a minute, the LPL showcased their players and teams to the World 2020 theme song, ‘Take Over”. With vivid and beautiful cinematography, each of the team members had a sleek entrance, almost like a blockbuster movie trailer.
They also posted the video on their Twitter account with the caption: “LPL Assemble! Our conquest begins.” Compelling words from one of the strongest regions at the moment. As Worlds 2020 is coming right around the corner, China is betting their wins on the following teams:
First up is LPL’s 4th Seed and Play-In Stage Qualifier who will be playing pretty early in the tournament starting September 25th: LGD Gaming. With active members Peanut, xiye, Kramer, Garvey, Killua, Mark, and Langx making an appearance in the video. With their first match-up against Hong Kong’s team PSG Talon, this team definitely can’t be underestimated.
Next, we have LPL’s 3rd Seed and Group A Team: Suning. Members SofM, huanfeng, SwordArt, View, owo, Angel and Bin sported their Lion emblem. The group gets to lay back for a bit as they wait for the Main Stage to begin, where they are off to face EU’s G2 Esports, PCS’s Machi Esports and whichever team finds triumph from the qualifier stage.
Chinese 2nd’s Seed, JDG’s LvMao, Zoom, Kanavi, Yagao, LokeN and Peace represented the LPL team. As a Group B team, they’ll be matching up with LCK’s strongest, Damwon Gaming, and EU team, Rogue. Hard to tell if JDG could top the group but they’re for sure not one to be counted out.
LPL’s leading contender and 1st-Seed team, Top Esports, made an appearance surrounded by flames, a powerful sight brought by the Chinese professional league. Members JackeyLove, knight, Karsa, yuyanjia, QiuQiu, 369 stood proudly as China’s strongest team. The team was drawn into Group D along with LCS’s FlyQuest and LCK’s DRX.
Many fans were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the LPL’s production work for their trailer. Make sure to keep an eye out for LPL’ content, as they will continue delivering top notch productions for these skilled players.
Comments such as “It’s not about if an LPL team will win Worlds, it’s about which LPL team will win worlds.” have populated the LPL social platforms and Reddit.
