As a part of an ever-growing industry, Riot just released through their Twitter account under @lolesports regarding their new partner, luxury brand and well-known automotive company: Mercedes-Benz. This isn’t the first venture into the world of esports for Mercedes-Benz. Riot Games has shown their strength in building bridges to expand their reach, and this one seems like it will be a strong one!
Many fans noted the lavish car’s appearance in League’s recent release of the 2020 Worlds Theme Song ‘Take Over’ video. Riot posted the tweet along with an article announcement on their main LoL Esports website. The partnership will be running through many of League’s events and tournaments especially including the main titles of: the World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational, and the All-Star events.
“We are proud to partner with Riot Games and are excited to interact with the League of Legends community. In cooperation with Riot, we want to create collaborative experiences for esports fans and give them an emotional connection to our brand.” Riot quoted the Mercedes-Benz Marketing VP, Bettina Fetzer, in their published write-up.
Riot also recently announced Bose as its official gaming headset sponsor and partner on its social media platforms along with an official article release. All players, announcers, staff and referees will be sporting the brand’s gear for the upcoming Worlds event.
The partnership announcement with Bose and League of Legends just coincided with the release of Bose’s latest gaming headset.
There are lots of exciting things coming League of Legends fans’ way as Worlds 2020 gets even closer! Definitely big steps for Riot Games here and we are looking forward to what other partnerships they’ll be making along the way.
