Modern Warfare Update brings Supermarket Sweep to Gunfight
Modern Warfare’s Gunfight is receiving a brand new map. Cycling through a series of weapon loadouts, Gunfight puts two against two in smaller variants of locations scattered around Verdansk. Those who frequent Warzone will most likely recognise this map from the Superstore located smack-bang in the centre of the map.
The new Modern Warfare update brings a new twist to existing Special Operations. Infinity Ward hasn’t gone into anything too specific, but here’s what they’ve said about the new mode.
“ Replay existing Operations with a twist! Some enemies may charge more frequently or maybe they can only be taken down with headshots. Check out new Modified Special Operations and earn new rewards each week!”
This can only be a good thing for players who are looking to take a break from online play. Special Operations offer a tough challenge as it is, and this only looks like it will improve the mode.
There’s Also A Playlist Update
Realism Moshpit with NVG, Hardhat 24/7, Reinfected Ground War, and Aisle 9 Face Off Moshpit are all coming to Modern Warfare’s multiplayer. Warzone will keep the Battle Royale Solos, Trios, Quads. In addition to this, it’s also keeping Blood Money Quads in place of Plunder.
Modern Warfare May 18 Update Brings Back Most Wanted To Warzone
You read that right! The controversial contract is back. Now, the time limit for the Most Wanted contract is 3 minutes, not 5. Other than that, though, it looks like it’ll work about the same.
Warzone now also has an Armor Box. Chances are, this will work like the Armor Box does in Special Operations. It’s similar to a Munitions Box, except it refills the team’s Armour rather than their Ammo. There are also a number of new weapons being added as loot throughout Verdansk.
What’s big, though, is the change to the Gulag loadouts. Rather than it being shotguns and handguns, the loadouts will now be Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns. There will be 6 ARs, and 4 SMGs in the loadout pool and should make getting back into the fight that little bit easier.
