The MSI 2021 Rumble Stage comes to an end today. Although the results met the general expectations, today’s matches were important for the final positions. DK and RNG were already assured, PSG finished in third and a MAD’s win eliminated all hopes of C9. Read here for more!
MSI Rumble Stage: DK lock first place
The final day of the Rumble stage began with the match between DK and RNG which saw the LPL champions win against the current world champions. However, DK’s win against the already eliminated PGG secures the top spot of this Rumble Stage for the Korean team.
MAD will head to Knockout Stage!
In their second match of the day, RNG faced the LEC champions. Since the beginning of the game, MAD started to gain more and more advantage after each fight. After almost 30 minutes the LEC champions find the winning fight and manage to take down the favourite RNG.
With MAD’s win against RNG, Cloud9 is mathematically eliminated from MSI Knockout Stage contention. They managed to get their revenge in the last match of the day when the LCS representative managed to take down MAD
PSG secures third place in Rumble Stage
With their win against the already eliminated PGG, PSG secures their place in the Knockout Stage. They close the day with a second win against C9 and in doing so secure third place in this Stage!
MSI Rumble Stage ends, time for Semifinals
We now know for sure the names of the four teams that will be playing in the semi-finals of this Mid-Seasonal Invitational 2021!
First place and reigning world champions DK have chosen to face MAD in the first semi-final of this MSI 2021. Consequently, RNG will take on PSG in the other semi-final on the road to MSI Finals.
