How to play Finn in MultiVersus
Finn is a straightforward, “in-your-face” kind of assassin with a little twist mixed in to make him unique. The twist is that, because he is an adventurer, enemies drop gold when Finn hits them with attacks. The gold can then be spent in-match to buy items that give Finn and his team various buffs. Here are the items you can get:
Hasten/Boots: Gives Finn and his team a movement speed boost – Costs 400 Gold
Booty/ProjectileArmor: Gives Finn and his team reduced damage against projectiles – Costs 600 Gold
BMO: Gives Finn a special move that does a lot of damage – Costs 1000 Gold
Both Finn and his teammates can collect gold from enemies while Finn is in a match, and they will always be added to Finn’s inventory.
Another unique mechanic that Finn has in his kit is the ability to charge attacks while moving. In fact, most of his damage is done that way. All of Finn’s specials can be charged, including a high five that charges the more you hit enemies, and has a huge knockback effect.
He is great against heroes with low CC like Harley and pretty good against those who like to get up close and personal like Batman and Shaggy. He struggles very hard against high CC heroes like Jake the Dog and Taz. Finn is best played with support by his side in 2v2.
Even though he is beloved by players, his steep learning curve knocked him down a bit in our tier list. Finn is not the easiest hero to utilize, but he is very fun to play and has a pretty deep and unique kit that fully embraces his adventurer persona.
Best Finn Perks in MultiVersus
Finn players have to always be on the move and charging their attacks, so the best perks for Finn will always be those who enhance his movement. He is also an amazing fighter in the air, so we’ve given a few spaces to that as well.
While fighting as Finn or with him in your team, you have to know one thing: the more he charges his attacks, the more damage they do. Finn is by no means a simple hero, and knowing his combos is key for playing him well. Being a combo-heavy hero, many players are naturally drawn to his rewarding play style.
As we mentioned above, one of the biggest advantages Finn has in his kit is the items. This perk makes it so that Finn’s items are 200 gold cheaper for ten seconds after Finn’s ally is rung out. This is also really good in 1v1 because the discount becomes permanent once Finn takes 100 damage.
Finn’s items are extremely good and provide him and his team with some really meaty buffs. This perk is always the correct choice in both 1v1 and 2v2.
Perk 1 – Triple Jump
Once again we are mentioning Finn’s prowess as a fighter in the air. He can go toe-to-toe with the likes of Superman in the air. His Backpack Attack is one of the best finishing moves in the entire game. This makes picking Triple Jump as one of the best perks a no-brainer for Finn in MultiVersus.
Not only you will reach your enemies that are in the air much faster, but it will also help you stay in the air for longer so your enemies are either forced to fight you where you’re strong OR stop fighting you and go down to a platform. A perk that seems small but offers so much value, Triple Jump should always be in your kit.
Perk 2 – Second Wind Beneath Your Wings
With Finn being such a great fighter in the air, this perk gives him even more power to perform surprising eliminations. The second wind beneath your wings makes it so your air special attacks are refreshed upon ringing out an enemy.
We’ve mentioned powerful moves like Backpack Attack that can take enemies out in scenarios like that. Finn has some amazing moves that work really well with this perk.
Perk 3 – Slippery When Feint
Since Finn is a little combo reliant and requires charging his abilities and NOT being interrupted, a 10% increase in dodge distance will do him really good. A solid perk all around that helps Finn achieve what he wants most, getting good combos in.
Finn can be a challenging hero to master, if you want a few easier ones, here are builds and best perks for some of them:
