Activision has confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be released later in Q4 2021. No title, release date, setting, plot, or developer has been confirmed. Here’s what we know…
Activision has confirmed that a Call of Duty game is planned for Q4 of 2021. According to CFO Dennis Durkin, they plan on the game pulling the majority of the CoD player base to the new game, which leads one to believe that it will be another full title release.
Not much else is known about the new title. Nothing has been even rumored about the setting or plot of the game, the date at which it will be released other than Q4 2021, nor a title. The developer of the new title hasn’t bene mentioned either. Will Sledgehammer get their third CoD title out? Maybe Treyarch, who some see as the better of the three CoD developers, take the reins on this one?
Activision has also confirmed that Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 will NOT be released in 2021, which leads me to think that the development of the new CoD title will be the forefront of their efforts. We might actually get a CoD game that’s a bit different than the previous every entry. Hahaha…I mean, we’ll see!
