Xbox Wire has announced a whole batch of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass for the month of January.
According to a new post from Xbox Wire, there will be quite a few new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this January, which will certainly be a good start to the new year.
The list of new games is certainly strong and will be sure to please Game Pass fans. The games being released this month are as follows:
- Control (PC) – January 21
- Desperados III (Android, Console, and PC) – January 21
- Donut County (Android, Console, and PC) – January 21
- Outer Wilds (Android) – January 21
- Cyber Shadow (Android, Console, and PC) – January 26
- The Medium (Xbox Series X|S and PC) – January 28
- Yakuza 3 Remastered (Android, Console, and PC) – January 28
- Yakuza 4 Remastered (Android, Console, and PC) – January 28
- Yakuza 5 Remastered (Android, Console, and PC) – January 28
It’s great to see that most of the games offered on this list will be available on Android as well, as cloud gaming is becoming a big part of the future of gaming. It does seem, though, that those of us who are still running on an Xbox One console will not currently be able to play The Medium, as it is offered only on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Other than The Medium, the games that stick out most in this list are the Yakuza Remastered Collection games. This gives Game Pass users three whole new Yakuza games after Game Pass began offering Yakuza games last year, including Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2.
It was not originally thought that any more Yakuza games would be coming to Xbox and PC, as Yakuza has been a PlayStation exclusive for a long time. According to reports from Kotaku, Yakuza 6, originally a PlayStation 4 exclusive, will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC on March 25, which would mean that the whole series will now no longer be a PlayStation exclusive.
This is certainly exciting news for those of us who prefer Xbox or PC, as well as Android. It will certainly be interesting to see how these games run over the cloud service.
But before you prepare yourself to play these new games, make sure you check out the Xbox Game Pass games that are leaving on January 29 before they are gone:
- Death Squared (Console)
- Death’s Gambit (PC)
- Final Fantasy XV (Console and PC)
- Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour (Console and PC)
- Gris (PC)
- Indivisible (Console and PC)
- Reigns: Game of Thrones (PC)
- Sea Salt (Console and PC)
