A Super Smash Bros.-like fighting game that features Nickelodeon characters has been revealed. Developed by Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a fighting game akin to Super Smash Bros. and is releasing this Autumn.
When it comes to cross-over fighting games, one of the biggest appeal is the roster. Fans get excited when one of their favourites make it into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. No doubt many were excited to see Nigel Thornberry being playable in this game.
Of course, being cross-over of Nickelodeon characters, Spongebob SquarePants is a playable character. He’s pretty much the Mario of this game. As of now, the following characters have been confirmed as playable:
Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Lucy Loud (The Loud House)
Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)
Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)
Oblina (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)
Helga (Hey Arnold!)
Danny Phantom (from Danny Phantom)
Zim (Invader Zim)
GIR (Invader Zim)
Powdered Toast Man (The Ren & Stimpy Show)
This isn’t the full lineup of fighters, and more is expected to be revealed as it approaches the release date. It would be weird to not see playable characters from Fairly OddParents, personally speaking. On the same note, a character from the Avatar universe would be quite an exciting addition.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is expected to release of Autumn 2021 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Not much else is known about this game except what was revealed in the trailer.
Fans of Nickelodeon and Super Smash Bros. may find this game endearing enough to try out. It would even be quite interesting to see if a competitive scene will emerge from this game.
