Ninja Streams On Twitch To Over 1 Million Viewers

After leaving his Mixer contract in late June due to the shut down of the platform Ninja has been a free agent and has yet to sign a contract with either YouTube or Twitch. In July, Ninja streamed on YouTube to huge success, leading to much speculation that he had indeed signed with YouTube. But today, he streamed again on Twitch with Dr Lupo and once again found great success, streaming to over 1 million viewers in a 2-hour period. This shows that Ninja still definitely has a home over on Twitch.

During the 2 hour stream, Ninja averaged over 70,000 viewers and peaked at 98,000 on his first stream on Twitch in a year. During the 2-hour stream, he gained over 1.2 million views for his channel. Due to Ninja leaving Twitch last year, he was stripped of his partnership status, although the good news is he’s an affiliate already.

Ninja currently has over 14 million followers on Twitch and 22 million subscribers on YouTube, making them both viable options for Ninja to stream on. It is likely he is taking some much needed time off after a rollercoaster few years when his brand blew up due to the success of Fortnite. It was also reported recently that Ninja even considered quitting streaming because of his drastic drop in viewership on Mixer, but this shows that the Ninja brand is still as strong as ever; it was the platform that caused his downward spiral in views.

It will be interesting to see which platform Ninja decides to return on, as he appears open to using both of them. Shroud also left his Mixer contract at the same time and has not streamed on any platform since then, and we still don’t know why DrDisrespect was banned from Twitch. 2020 has been a crazy year for the streaming world.
