Nintendo Confirms Upcoming Switch Games

Along with Nintendo’s recent quarterly earnings report, they also confirmed the release schedule for their upcoming Nintendo Switch games. Unfortunately, they didn’t really confirm anything we didn’t know and indicates not a lot is coming from Nintendo in the coming months.

Nintendo have scaled down operations due to the coronavirus pandemic so it does make sense some games are on the back burner for now, or have had their release windows pushed back.

Right now, this is what the release schedule looks like for the upcoming first party Nintendo Switch games;

Japan (correct as of May 2020)

  • Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – 29th May, 2020
  • Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics – 5th June, 2020
  • Famicom Tentei Club: Kieta Koukeisha and Ushiro ni Tatsu Shoujo – 2020
  • Bayonetta 3 – TBA
  • Metroid Prime 4 (temp.)- TBA
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel (temp.) – TBA

The United States (correct as of October 2019)

  • Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – 29th May, 2020
  • Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics – 5th June, 2020
  • Bravely Default II – 2020
  • Bayonetta 3 – TBA
  • Metroid Prime 4 (temp.) – TBA

With E3 cancelled, no-one really knows when Nintendo will give us the next update and whether any of these TBA titles will be given definitive release dates.
