Nintendo has announced their E3 2021 Direct, which is expected to air on Tuesday, June 15, at 9 AM PT. This should not come as a surprise for many, as Nintendo has held their E3 Direct on the last Tuesday of E3 in recent years.
After the 40 minute Direct, which focuses “exclusively on software—mostly releasing in 2021—for the Nintendo Switch™ system,” there will be a 3-hour Treehouse Live, as per usual. These Treehouse Live events are “deep dives into select games with those who know them best.”
The announcement of the Direct comes from Nintendo’s various social media platforms.
Nintendo has also recently announced a gallery showcase, which will renovate one of their production facilities into a sort of Nintendo museum that would display the history of the company’s products. This gallery is planned to be completed by the end of Fiscal Year 2023.
While the E3 Direct confirmation date is exciting, there are still constant rumours about the Nintendo Switch Pro being announced before E3 2021. The Nintendo Switch Pro had been allegedly listed on Amazon Mexico before being deleted, as well as at a French retailer.
It is important that despite the increasing volume and apparent certainty of the Nintendo Switch Pro’s existence and announcement date, no there official word from Nintendo about the existence of the upgraded console. Though, hopefully all these rumours can be put to rest (whether confirmed or not) by the end of Nintendo’s E3 2021 Direct.
