Upcoming Summer Playoffs and Worlds 2020

Summer Playoffs – The top eight teams from the Summer Season in each respective League (LCS,LEC,etc) compete for a direct shot to the seeds of 2020 Worlds.

Format –

  • Top eight teams from Summer Season participate
    • Top two teams receive a bye to winners’ bracket round 2
    • 3rd to 6th play in the winners’ bracket
    • 7th and 8th play in the losers’ bracket
  • Double elimination bracket
    • 1st seed picks between both round 1 winners
  • Matches are best of five
  • Top 3 teams qualify for the 2020 Season World Championship

As of right now, Worlds 2019 is currently sitting as the most-viewed live esports event! It reached a record breaking 21.8 million in average minute audience and also achieved 44 million peak concurrent viewers, which matches the number for the 2018 Worlds final in South Korea.
