The whole gaming world is waiting anxiously to find out the prices of the upcoming Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. It is expected that the prices will be released officially in July. But, the Playstation 5 price may have already been leaked, courtesy of Amazon France.
A listing briefly appeared on Amazon showing that the Playstation 5 disk version will cost 499 euros, while the price for the Playstation 5 digital only console will cost 399 euros. What is interesting is that these listing were from Amazon and not a seller on the website. These listings were screen grabbed by, Twitter user, Ben Geskin, before they were deleted.
If you convert the prices then it equates to £447 in the UK and $561. It is likely that the prices will be £499 and $499, maybe $549. This falls in line with what is the expected launch prices for the console. It also lines up with the rumor that Microsoft are looking to undercut the PS5 by charging $399 for the Xbox Series X.
Although it is a listing from an official retailer, until Sony officially announce the price, this will just remain a rumor.
