Still deciding on your Path of Exile Class? Here’s a helpful explanation of the PoE Witch Ascendancy Classes to help you decide if The Witch Class is what you want to go with. Here, I’ll discuss the following: The Necromancer, The Elementalist, and The Occultist.
PoE Witch Ascendancy Classes
The Necromancer Ascendancy
As you might imagine, the Necromancer is an Ascendancy subclass that is themed around death… And un-death. Essentially, this class is built for players that want to utilize minions. They have a good selection of minion-based skills and bonuses. However, on top of this, they also have corpse-based skills. This grants the player fantastic bonuses for consuming and spawning corpses with skills like Unearth.
The Elementalist Ascendancy
The Elementalist Ascendancy allows players to explore the Path of Exile world of casters and summoners. Players can gain access to an array of conditional, but powerful, elemental damage bonuses. On top of this, The Elementalist Ascendancy is the best subclass at enhancing direct-damage spells. If you thought that was it, they also have access to Golems which offer them a number of buffs. This is aside from the fact that the Golems themselves are pretty powerful. They are, essentially, the best combat spell-casting subclass.
The Occultist Ascendancy
This Ascendancy specializes in utilizing a number of Damage over Time effects alongside the use of Curses. Curses are temporary debuff attacks that can be used in a variety of ways. The Occultist Ascendancy can combine these Curses with their own Damage over Time attacks to exploit short bursts of damage. They also have a minor affinity to energy shields and power charges, which grants players with a fairly solid degree of resilience.
