Nintendo has officially announced a spin-off title, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The new, open-world game will take place in the feudal time period of Japan, specifically in the Sinnoh region. That’s the best region, by the way.
Unrelated note, did you know Arceus is pronounced ‘Ar-keus’, not ‘Ar-seus’? I didn’t. Tolkein would be proud.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus still needs a lot of work, it seems. The demo shown to us looked like it was running on a Wii U, chugging along at 5 FPS like it was Skyrim running on a microwave. Either the game needs a whole lot of optimization done, or Nintendo is going to soon announce a Switch Pro.
They should make a Switch Pro anyway, some Switch games have some pretty heinous load times.
Time for my favorite segment! *upbeat jingle* Speculation time with Van!
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the storyline has something to do with Arceus. *gasp* No, for real, I think some daimyo or shogun is going to try and seize Arceus or Arceus’ power in order to conquer the rest of Japan and lay waste to the other regions.
Your job as the protagonist will be to stop them, as always, while making Pokémon friends along the way.
Are you excited as I am to return to the Sinnoh region? What do you think the story is going to be? Lastly, what is your favourite Gen IV Pokémon? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
