Alongside the announcement of the PS5 price and launch date, the PS Plus Collection was also announced. This “additional benefit” offers plays a number of PlayStation 4 titles for free with their Ps Plus subscription.
If there is one thing that plagues a new console launch, it’s the number of games available at release. Thankfully, it seems like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series won’t suffer from this issue. There are countless games releasing throughout the release period, with some of them being the most hotly anticipated titles for some years! (Looking at you, Cyberpunk.)
Although Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla all release around a similar time, there is really only one major PlayStation exclusive title releasing actually with the PlayStation 5. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is releasing as a launch title for the console, and there’s the Demon Souls remaster.
If these don’t take your fancy, though, you’re in luck!
PS Plus Collection to Come at no Extra Cost
Sony announced that the PS Plus Collection is also coming to PS Plus Subscribers with a PlayStation 5 at no additional cost. The collection features some of the biggest PS4 games out there, with several console exclusives making the cut.
Below is what you’ll be able to get:
Batman: Arkham Knight
Detroit: Become Human
Final Fantasy XV
God Of War
Infamous: Second Son
Monster Hunter: World
Mortal Kombat X
Ratchet & Clank
Resident Evil 7
The Last Guardian
The Last of Us Remastered
Okay, some of these may not be that popular nowadays… But that doesn’t mean they’re not worth playing, right? Who knows, this might be the boost that Battlefield 1 needs to have full servers again! There is currently no word on whether these are enhanced versions of the current versions of the game, however they should perform better on the PS5 due to the improved hardware.
It is also worth noting that there are a number of current-gen titles that are getting free next-generation upgrades for owners of the games. Marvel’s Avengers, Control: Ultimate Edition, and Cyberpunk 2077 are examples of this.
