According to Upcomer, VALORANT Champions is set to take place in Los Angeles. Reportedly, the final event of the VCT 2021 Season will be the first big VALORANT LAN event on North American soil.
This location was also featured in the one-year anniversary video recently released by Riot, with a poster in the background promoting the tournament with “Los Angeles” written at the bottom of the paper.
Just last month, we witnessed the first International VALORANT event, with Masters: Reykjavík. For September, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2021 circuit is bound for the German city of Berlin, in the third and final Masters event.
The 2021 season will end with VALORANT: Champions, a singular high-stakes tournament that will gather the crème de la crème on a final showdown for the title of the best team in the World.
At this stage, it is still unclear which venue will accommodate for such a large scale event, with the event scheduled for December.
With sporting events in Los Angeles slowly returning to normal capacity, it is a strong possibility that we will see fans in attendence.
While Riot Games is yet to confirm this information, the company’s home headquarters are based in Santa Monica, with the developer having organized countless tournaments in Los Angeles for League of Legends.
Alongside the LCS Arena situated just across the street from their headquarters, Riot has also held the grand-finals of 2012, 2013 and 2016 League of Legends World Championships in LA.
