Resident Evil 3 is almost here, with many players already receiving their physical versions, while digital buyers have downloaded their pre-load. In fact, some players have already received their physical copies of Final Fantasy 7, and that game isn’t out until April 10th. But one group of players who aren’t playing yet are PC players.
On PS4 and Xbox One, the Resident Evil 3 pre-load began a few days ago, and most users have their copy ready and waiting for it to unlock. Steam users, however, are just met with a notice saying the game hasn’t been released yet.
Earlier today, the Capcom Community Manager, “Katastrophe“, was asked about pre-load for Steam and has confirmed that the game will have no pre-load and will be available to start downloading at 5am GMT on April 3rd, which is 4am UK time. This is incredibly frustrating for many players, considering some players have already received the game, and full playthroughs are on YouTube, but Steam players may have a while to wait yet, especially in some countries where download speeds are slow.
