During today’s State Of Play presented by Sony, we finally got the official reveal of the Resident Evil 3 Remake. The cover art was leaked online a few weeks ago by a legitimate source, and since then, fans have speculated when the reveal of Resident Evil 3 Remake would officially be. We didn’t have long to wait at all.
Sony briefly tried to troll us by telling the viewer they had an exclusive look at the upcoming Project Resistance campaign mode before presenting us with the Resident Evil 3 Remake trailer. The trailer shows Jill running from Nemesis through what looks like the RPD and some other buildings too. We also get to see the RPD pre-RE2 Remake and can hear Elliot talking on the radio. Elliot is the character you first meet upon entering the RPD in RE2 Remake because he meets his demise by decapitation. We also get to see Carlos and the Umbrella Mercenaries as well as Brad Vickers…we all know how that one ends.
The official release date was also announced: April 3rd, 2020, less than 4 months away. It was also revealed that Project Resistance, now titled Resident Evil Resistance, will be included as the multiplayer portion of the game.
The game will release on PS4, Xbox One and Steam, as expected, and if you pre-order you get access to Jill & Carlos’ classic RE3 outfits.
