With a goal like saving your daughter from legions of lycans, vampires, and other mythological creatures, you’ll need to be packing some heat. Lucky for you, our guide for “Resident Evil: Village – How to Unlock Infinite Ammo” will make this one of the easiest things you can do to turn your quest from survival horror to action-adventure.

Infinite ammo is a staple of the Resident Evil games. While is does change from entry to entry, Resident Evil: Village’s infinite ammo gives players the luxury of not having to worry about their ammo stockpile at any point. It does not make the need for reloading disappear, however.

Table of Contents

  • Fully upgrade and customize a weapon
  • Beat the game on any difficulty
  • Enter the extra content shop

While playing through Resident Evil: Village, you’ll soon meet the Duke the Merchant. Upon entering his shop you’ll see selections for several of his services. Choosing “Gunsmithy” will enter the weapon upgrade shop.

At the weapon upgrade shop, players can spend Lei for boosts to their weapons stats- specifically damage output, rate of fire, reload speed, and size of magazine. Not all upgrades are available from the start of the game but progressing through the story will eventually make all purchases available to players.

In addition to fully upgrading each weapon, players will need to customize weapons to their max. Weapon customizations can be found throughout the game or bought from the merchant. Once all attachments are placed upon your gun of choice, continue to the next step.

The longest task necessary to unlock infinite ammo in Resident Evil: Village is to complete the game once on any difficulty. Where the game can be beaten in under three hours (fastest completed time as of writing is 2:15:50 by PowerPyx on YouTube), typical playthroughs can range anywhere from 8 hours to roughly 15. This is mostly dependent on the difficulty in which the game is played, however.

Once the game is completed, players will notice a new tab on their start menu for the game labeled “Bonus”. This is where all of the post-game goodies are hidden.

Once here, select the “Extra Content Shop”. Upon opening, you’ll have the ability to spend your CP on items for the game- including infinite ammo. Infinite ammo is typically quite expensive, but not entirely out of player’s reach.

The CP, or completion points, used in the Extra Content Shop are obtained through completing various challenges in the game- including but not limited to beating the game, killing 5 flying crows in the story, reaching A rank in all Mercenaries missions, etc.

Most players upon finishing the game should have the option to make the “Dragoon” rifle available for purchase. This gives Ethan access to Chris’s late-game assault rifle. This rifle is one of a few weapons that do not require any upgrades/customizations to use infinite ammo and is therefore one of the cheapest options for procuring an infinite ammo weapon.

After completing all of these steps, players will obtain infinite ammo for their weapon of choice. Infinite ammo can be turned off at any point if players decide to do so in the options menu.

I love playing video games and writing about them. I've been passionate about both forms of media since I was little thanks to my brother. My goal is to show off my love of both to others so they can also become more interested and inspired to enter this amazing virtual and literary world.
