Jagex has released a video detailing the first front of the upcoming Elder God Wars Dungeon: The Nodon Front. The Elder God Wars Dungeon will be releasing in four batches, one each month, with the Nodon front releasing on July 26.
Elder God Eggs
The Elder God Wars Dungeon features 3 Elder God Eggs. These eggs were featured in Azzanadra’s Quest and City of Senntisten. In the latter, the eggs were transported to the Cathedral of Azzanadra, where they are being protected.
With assistance of the generals (the bosses) from God Wars Dungeons 1 and 2, players must defend the three eggs. If the Elder Gods touch the eggs, they will hatch. The hatchlings inside will wipe out all life on the planet almost instantly.
The Elder Gods themselves won’t destroy the Gielinor since the hatchlings need to feast on anima. Anima is the living energy of the universe and the source of magic.
If the hatchlings are unable to feed off the anima and destroy the world, the Elder Gods cannot reincarnate. The Elder Gods cannot attack themselves because doing so risks destroying the eggs.
Therefore, the Elder Gods will be sending their minions to do the job.
Elder God Wars Dungeon – Nodon Front
Jas has sent her first and original servant, Kerapac, and assigned him the task of retrieving the eggs. Kerapac will be the first general (boss) of Elder God Wars Dungeon.
Kerapac’s fight will consist of four phases. He will be using the power of the Elder Artefacts he has gathered over the years, mainly the Needle and Staff of Armadyl.
Using the Needle’s power of time, Kerapac can “pull” himself backwards in time. Defeating Kerapac will have him reset the fight and force you to deal with the previous phases.
Kerapac can be fought in normal mode and hard mode. Normal mode rewards are as follows:
Tier 85 gloves that affect the Dragon Breath and Combust abilities
A new god book that represents Jas
Ability Codex that upgrades Concentrated Blast ability into Greater Concentrated Blast
Fighting Kerapac in hard mode will allow you to gather the fractured pieces of the Elder Artefact, the Staff of Armadyl. This will be RuneScape’s first Tier 95 weapon.
Kerapac will also have his own boss pet, as is standard with other bosses.
If you have 92 Slayer, you can fight the Nodon themselves, as well as interact with their siege weaponry.
By fighting the siege weaponry, you can take over it to turn it onto the Nodon Dragonkin themselves.
They also use unique technology for their weaponry, and players can gather them to upgrade their Dwarf Multicannon, Oldak Coil, or Kinetic Cyclone, granting them a damage boost.
Lastly, the Pontifex Ring from Azzanadra’s Quest (which was upgraded at the end of City of Senntisten) can be further upgraded. Upgrading requires anima from killing the slayer creatures or Kerapac, which will grant the ring more benefits for the dungeon.
The upcoming Elder God Wars Dungeon is looking to live up to its hype with the content that has been shown. The Nodon Front will be releasing soon, on July 26, 2021.
Players are encouraged to complete a series of quests to understand the story behind Elder God Wars, but are not a hard requirement.
