Much like the first two titles, Saints Row: The Third Remastered’s main objective is to fight off rival gangs as a member of the Third Street Saints. Obviously, it’s a little more complicated (and mental) than that… But, that’s the general theme. It plays similarly to Grand Theft Auto but with the destruction of a Just Cause game. Saints Row: The Third is wild. It isn’t meant to be a serious game, and that’s a good thing. You can beat people up with a dildo and throw a fart-in-a-jar. What’s not to love? Originally, it was released in 2011, so a graphical update wouldn’t go amiss.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered comes with all previously-released DLC content…

Saints Row: The Third Remastered includes three mission packs and over 30 bits of DLC. It’s a full package, including the full package. (That was the name of the 40-week season pass for Saints Row: The Third’s original release.)

Genkibowl VII is the first of the three mission packs available. This DLC focuses on a gameshow-type event themed around Professor Genki and his Super Ethical Reality Climax events which are found throughout the game.

As you can see, GenkiBowl VII looks wild.

Gangstas in Space followed on with the theme of insane mayhem by focusing on the finalization of Gangstas in Space, an in-game movie referenced during the story. The activities include rescuing an alien, dogfighting, and more.

The Trouble with Clones was equally insane and the final mission pack released. It is all about dealing with a super-powered clone of now-deceased Saints leader Johnny Gat. GameZone’s David Sanchez rated the final mission of this pack as “bleeding the madness that made so many gamers fall in love… in the first place”.

All three mission packs include themed cosmetic items, vehicles, and weaponry that can be unlocked upon completion. The other DLC packs included in the remaster feature a Van Helsing themed motorcycle, Kabuki costumes, and supporting NPCs based on porn stars. Classic Saints Row stuff, really.

If you own a Switch, don’t worry. You can still get Saints Row: The Third The Full Package, but so far, the remastered version has only been announced for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Still, I can imagine the experience will still be as enjoyable!

If you didn’t see, David released a huge review for the Resident Evil 3 Remake. It’s well worth a read!
