Bethesda’s dragon-slaying experience is more than just fighting Draugr and looting dungeons. This Skyrim Marriage Guide will help you figure out how to tie the knot in Skyrim and let you know who you can get married to!
You’ll be pleased to know that getting married in Skyrim is a little easier than you’d think, and hopefully this Skyrim Marriage Guide will help you out! It also isn’t the complete waste of time you’d think it might be. Getting married in the midst of a Skyrim Civil War can get you a whole host of nifty little bonuses. If your betrothed owns a house, it’s now your house as well. Sleeping next to your betrothed also means that you’ll get the 8-hour ‘Lover’s Comfort’ boost when you wake up. This increases your speed by 15%, so it’s definitely handy!
Marriage partners also cook for you once a day, and their meal will increase health, stamina, and magicka regeneration. On top of all this, they may even surprise you with a gift every now and then! Cute, right?
What follows is a step-by-step guide to finding your beloved… Well, out of a select few Skyrim citizens, anyway…

Skyrim Marriage Guide – Step-By-Step
First, you need to head to Riften. Yeah, you know the place. The one with the Thieves Guild and the sewers!
Second, you need to find the Temple of Mara and speak to the priest about weddings. This won’t take you very long at all; you may even bump into the priest you need to talk to out and about Riften.
Then, once they’ve told you all they know… You can purchase an Amulet of Mara and use this to propose. You have to be wearing the amulet while talking with whoever you want to marry.
If they agree, then you have to return to the Temple of Mara and request a wedding ceremony. This will take 24 hours, but once it’s done…
Congratulations!!! You’ve got yourself a partner!
Yep, that’s it. The Skyrim Marriage Guide really isn’t that hard to follow. All you have to do after this is talk with your partner to decide where you want to settle down and make your home.
