Astralis has announced the temporary addition of former Heroic player Marco ‘Snappi’ Pfeiffer. He will be replacing Andreas ‘xyp9x’ Hojsleth, who will be taking a break from competition. Snappi joins Astralis on a short-term deal, presumably until the end of June.
For the second time in under two weeks, Astralis has announced that one of its players is taking a break from Counter-Strike. Joining Lukas ‘Gla1ve’ Rossander is the clutchminister himself, xyp9x. Both players suffer from the same type of problems: mental fatigue and burn-out. The duration of xy9x’s break is an unknown, with rumours saying it could be either two weeks or several months.
The move comes to no surprise, as it was already reported that xyp9x would be taking a break from competing. But where Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson was previously expected to join the squad, it is now Snappi. The 29-year old will reportedly be joining the Mongolian organization Tiger in the near future. But he has now decided to help Astralis out, as the squad is plagued with players suffering from burn-out.
