Looks like one of the LEC teams is close to already finalizing their lineup for 2021.
According to Spanish outlet Esportsmaniacos, SK Gaming will replace starting AD Carry Juš “Crownshot” Marušič and mid laner Dirk “Zazee” Mallner with French academy player Jean “Jezu” Mazzol and Ersin “Blue” Gören, who played for 1907 Fenerbahçe this year.
In addition to Blue and Jezu’s arrival, SK Gaming will also bring in Kristan “TynX” Østergaard to fill the team’s starting jungler role, following up on the release of Kim “Trick” Gang-yun release from a few weeks ago.
Despite staying under contract with the team until 2022, Zazee was formally allowed to find another team last month so they can have more time to find new players for the future.
Jezu was a part of the Misfits Premier roster that won their first-ever LFL split championship and finished Top 8 in the following European Masters competition.
Blue relished a similarly fruitful albeit young career, winning this past spring’s TCL title after dominating the academy level for all of 2019.
Despite being 21 years old, TynX is already a journeyman within the European league scene as he played for 11 teams in his four years as a semi-professional, the most notable of which had been when he joined Origen in early 2017 as a substitute jungler. Back then, the Danish jungler never played in the main stage of the EU LCS, but he’s looking to finally do it now with SK.
After playing in the lower levels of competition for three years, Crownshot was given a chance on the main stage by SK as the starting mid laner in 2019 when they returned to Europe’s premier league after a lengthy absence. A similar story played out for ZaZee as he was noticed and then signed by SK in 2020 while residing in the region’s amateur level.
