Take this as a very small rumor, but word on the street is that Star Wars KOTOR 3 may be in early development. The Star Wars KOTOR series is a beloved series of games, with the last one releasing way back in 2004. It was also influential in that future Bioware titles such as Dragon Age & Mass Effect utilized the style of the game.
Since EA got the license to produce Star Wars games, it has been a rocky road. Star Wars Battlefront was largely disappointing, Battlefront 2 had a very rocky start and then they knocked it out the park with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, so fingers crossed that trend would continue if KOTOR 3 was released and it would meet all expectations from fans.
The rumor is that the game will be released in 2022, right before the current license expires in 2023 and will see players will reportedly take control of a never-before-seen female character as part of a central plot revolving around the Galactic Empire’s fall.
Once again, this is a very small rumor, but it was leaked by the same person who leaked that Resident Evil 4 Remake would be a thing, so there could be weight to it.
