Star Wars Squadrons: All Imperial Ships Available For You To Fly

Published:

Wondering how you’ll be able to hit back at the New Republic? Here’s all Imperial Ships available in Star Wars: Squadrons. Some you’ll know well, but others you may not?

Star Wars: Squadrons is a great game for fans of both sides of the Galactic Civil War. Fight oppression as the New Republic’s top pilots, or crush the remnants of the Rebellion with the Imperial Navy.

The Imperial Ships available for pilots to play with in Star Wars: Squadrons feature some classics, however there’s one or two you may not have seen before. Below are the four Imperial Ships available:

Ah… Old Reliable. The TIE Fighter is a great all-rounder. It’s not the quickest, not the toughest, but it’s perfect for an adaptive play-style and offers enough survivability to stick-out a dogfight or two! These are the back-bone of the Imperial Navy and something you’ll have seen a lot of in other Star Wars media.

Next up, we have the TIE Bomber. Theses aren’t focussed on as much in Star Wars media, but they’re an important part of fighting back against the Rebellion and the New Republic. As you’d expect, a Bomber is specialised in taking down larger targets. They still pack a punch against other fighters, but they’re slower and ultimately not as useful in a dogfight.

The TIE Interceptor is the fastest of the Imperial Navy’s line-up in Star Wars: Squadrons. You may remember seeing Darth Vader flying a TIE Advanced x1 in A New Hope. This is a similar design to that that has-since featured throughout other Star Wars media. They’re the fastest ship available, perfect for hunting down opposing pilots in the thick of a Fleet Battle.

This may be one you haven’t seen before… The TIE Reaper is the Imperial Navy’s support vessel in Star Wars: Squadrons. They are the only Imperial Navy vessel to have shields, but this makes up for their fairly-low top speed. They, much like any Support role, work at disrupting enemy ships and protecting their allies. They’re also the biggest Imperial Navy ship and make an easy target in a dogfight.

Sadly, All Of The Imperial Ships In Star Wars: Squadrons Aren’t Playable

Yes, I’m talking about you Imperial Star Destroyer. Although, if you did get to captain a Star Destroyer… That would take away from the ‘Squadrons’ part of Star Wars: Squadrons

Is there any other Imperial Ship you’d like to pilot in Star Wars: Squadrons?
