Everyone’s favorite 64-bit simulator game allows you to live out your small-town fantasies. So, it is but natural that you would want to drip out your character and make some cloth in Stardew Valley. Luckily there are multiple methods that will allow you to do the same in the game. In this guide, we will go through each of these methods and you will soon have some fresh new clothes for your character in the game.

How to get Cloth in Stardew Valley?

How to get Cloth in Stardew Valley

The methods by which you can get cloth are as follows:

  • Crafting cloth using a Loom
  • Recycling Soggy Newspaper
  • Recieving it as a gift from Emily
  • Drops from Mummies

Using a Loom to craft Cloth

This is the most basic method in the game. However, it requires you to have a handloom in the game. To do that you need to satisfy a few conditions. Once you do that, you will be able to unlock the handloom crafting recipe. These requirements are as follows:

  • Farming Level 7
  • 60 Wood
  • 30 Fiber
  • 1 Pine Tar

Now that you have a loom ready simply add in some wool to the instrument. You will now get 1 unit of cloth every four hours in Stardew Valley. Given how long a day is in the game, you will have some cloth pretty soon. This output can increase when you use higher-quality wool. If you are wondering how to get wool, you will have to chase around some sheep or rabbits. You can keep some of these on your farm so that you have an endless supply.

Using a Recycling Machine

To unlock the Recycling Machine in the game you will first have to reach level four in fishing skills. Having the right bait will allow you to get there quickly. Once at level 4 you will get an option to craft a Recycling Machine. Now, just load Soggy Newspaper into the Recycling Machine and you will get Cloth. However, be warned. This is the least effective method and you will have to grind. But hey, you are doing your part for the environment.

Get Cloth in Stardew Valley as Drops from Mummies

What are Mummies wrapped up in? Layers and layers of cloth. All you have to do is go and slay them. If you want to find them you will have to go to the Skull Cavern. The Skull Cavern is also a good location for a number of important resources in the game.

Some of the other ways you can get this resource include purchasing it or getting it as a gift. The NPC Emily will give this resource as a gift item to your character. If you are okay with spending some cash, you can purchase cloth from the Desert Trader in Calico Desert.
